# How to get a ZAI

> ### There are different ways to get a ZAI:

You can get a ZAI and play in an arena, have it work in a training center, have it learn sorcery in a lab, or assign it to a scholar:

* Buy an egg in the nurseries
* Get / win a ticket during promotions (up to 30 tickets offered per month)
* Play every day for 5 weeks in a row and win a random egg
* Participate in the regular dutch auction
* Buy a ZAI on the in-game marketplace or secondary market (e.g. Opensea)
* Get one temporarily by borrowing it (scholarship)

> ### The dutch auction in detail

\
Thanks to the dutch auction there is a ZAI bronze, a ZAI silver, a ZAI gold and a ZAI platinum permanently on sale.

The prices of these ZAIs are defined by the average price of eggs on sale in each nursery with a multiplier. \
These coefficients can be modified by vote of the DAO\* in order to balance the game.

| ZAI type | Multiplier Coefficient |
| -------- | ---------------------- |
| Bronze | 2 |
| Silver | 4 |
| Gold | 16 |
| Platinum | 100 |

The price of each of these ZAIs drops by half each day, and with each sale a new ZAI is put up for sale at the average price with multiplier.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Example:** the average of the bronze eggs is 100 BZAI => the bronze card is on sale at 200 BZAI, at each block the price goes down, 24 hours after the sale of the card, its price is 100 BZAI and goes down as long as the card has not found a buyer.

| Duration of the sale | ZAI price |
| ---------------------------------- | --------- |
| Putting on sale on the marketplace | 200 |
